Lesson Learned

We went to the Chicago Botanic Gardens this past weekend and had an idyllic afternoon filled with picnicking, flowers, bonsai trees, gardens, waterfalls, and of course, pictures.

Near the end of our visit, we found a long pathway of trellises with beautiful ivy growing on them. A very Polish woman saw we were taking pictures of each other, and offered (ahem.. demanded) to take one of us as a couple. She was extremely eager to help us in out of our oh-so terrible situation and we obliged. Half of a moment later, we heard the shutter and she was already handing my Nikon back.

Lesson learned? Always hand a stranger an iPhone.

This is something I need to learn too. What’s worse is when people demand the big camera saying they can do it… :)
